YOUTH MINISTRY

Confirmation

Every two years preparation classes are held for Junior High (and older) students who have not yet been confirmed. Confirmation preparation requires great commitment on the part of all involved: the educators, the mentors, and the students. This year the confirmation prep class will meet every other Sunday evening at the church for prep classes. The preparation classes will conclude with a confirmation retreat and the Rite of Confirmation in September of 2003.

Also, if your child would like to join the church and is older than the incoming class but missed the last confirmation class, please contact the Coordinator for Children's Ministries or the Minister and independent confirmation preparation will be arranged.

YOUTH FELLOWSHIP

The youth fellowship group will meet one Sunday evening per month, and the date and location will be announced in the monthly "Good News". This is our second year attempt at holding formally conducted youth fellowship meetings, and it is our hope that the kids take full advantage of this group. The group will finish up the year with a trip to General Synod XXIV in Minneapolis. Youth trips and activities are primarily funded by Youth Fundraisers held periodically throughout the year, donations, and the generosity of our Mission Board.
