September 12	Homecoming Sunday	Come back to church school for the new year! Registration, orientation, fire drills and a wonderful all church family picnic will take place that morning!
October 3	World Communion Sunday	A wonderful children’s communion festival in which the church family (children too!) takes communion using “wine” and bread created by the children themselves!
October 17	Bible/Hymnal Sunday	Children in 3^rd grade and 8^th grade are gifted with a Bible or Hymnal respectively. Don’t let your child miss the opportunity to receive one of these very special books.
October 30	“Trunk or Treat”	A fun and safe Halloween celebration in the church parking lot. Lots of treats, a wonderful bonfire, and prizes awarded.
October 31	Family Halloween Sunday	A Family Sunday (5^th Sunday of month) in which all of the children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to worship. Fun!
November 5-6	Confirmation Retreat	A spiritual retreat for the confirmation class – away from home, away from church, away from school – for reflection and meditation before confirmation.
November 7-21	Fall Canned Food Drive	Bring your canned and non-perishable foods to church and add them to the church school food baskets. Our donations will be dedicated in the Sanctuary on Thanksgiving Sunday.
November 21	Pilgrims’ Procession	All of the children will process into the Sanctuary, dressed in period costumes, laden with food gifts to be dedicated at the altar. All food will be donated to the local food bank.
November 28 – December 19	Advent Mission Project	The Learning Center children will take part in a special mission project for the needy of Newport County. The theme and organization will be announced soon.
December 5	Confirmation Sunday	Our ten confirmands will make the ultimate commitment of their Christian Life. Don’t miss this special day.
December 26	Vacation Sunday	The one Sunday all year that the church school takes a little vacation. Enjoy your holidays!
