The Boone Room (Resource Room)

Our Resource Room (located in the Gray Room) is an open library for all children and their families within our church. Feel free to come in and browse through the reading materials, videotapes, audio tapes, biblical references, puzzles and board games. If you would like to borrow something, please sign it out on the sign-out sheet provided there. Please, all borrowed materials must be returned within 14 days.

The Walter Farnum Scholarship Program

Higher education scholarships are available to church members, and their children, enrolled in an accredited school. Please contact the Church Office for more information regarding the requirements and distribution.

BOOKS/PUBLICATIONS

Bibles

Every October, on "Bible Sunday", personal Bibles are presented to church school children in the 3rd grade. We have chosen to give the children at this age the Contemporary English Version Bible. It is written in contemporary English so that it is easier for a child to understand. The flyleaf of the CEV Bible describes it as a "user-friendly translation that can be read aloud without stumbling, heard without misunderstanding, and listened to with enjoyment and appreciation." We use this version for our weekly Church School Bible verse with great success! It is our gift to these children, and it is our hope that they will continue to hold on to, and use, their Bible for a lifetime.

Hymnals

Every October, on "Bible Sunday", children in the 8th grade are presented with a personalized hymnal from the church. Again, this personal copy of the hymnal is a gift, and it is our hope that it be used for a lifetime.

Note: if your child was not here during his/her 3rd or 8th grade year, please contact the Church Office. We believe ALL children, regardless of their years of enrollment, are entitled to, and in fact deserving of, ownership of these important books.
